RT recording new songs on the road

Just seen this, rehearse a tight band, and record some new material on stage...what a great idea ! Nice to get the awesome Pete Zorn on an album of new RT songs as well (first time since Hand Of Kindness I believe).

Pete Zorn is just a master.  Saw him last night on the Steeleye Span tour.  Quietly brilliant.

Is there anybody else who habitually changes between wind and stringed instruments in mid song?

That's even more remarkable!!!! I swear I saw him smoking, fiddling and singing all at the same time. But let's face it, he can walk on water so it's not surprising.

Quite right. Getting back on topic (sort of), has anyone else noticed the similarity between the character Tim Blake Nelson played in The Darwin Awards and RT?

On the off-chance there is anyone reading this thread who might actually be interested in the event, a warm-up show has been added -- to begin the tour -- Thursday 11 February at Largo at the Coronet in Los Angeles! Very small venue.

Well I succumbed, or rather my wife did and two tickets for Feb 16th have been purchased, should be interesting when you are guaranteed that a fair amount of the show will be of unknown material to the audience. Also surprising as he has often criticized live albums although culling an album from a series of shows will provide enough quality control I am sure. Anyway I will let you all know although I will undoubtedly forget all the song titles and the running order and the review will be rubbish

The last time I saw RT at the Aladdin with the band the lady in front of me sat with her fingers in her ears and tears in her eyes, rock'n'roll lives on;D
