Hiya

Just a little reminder that Beth's tour starts on Sunday in St Albans and goes through to Bristol on March 8th. Dates on my website at http://www.maartinallcock.com. Fellow Nashville songwriter Marcus Hummon will be opening the show and playing in Beth's band.

See ya there

Would you post the link please? Taa.

Due to the weather, Marcus was delayed flying out from Nashville, but luckily his connection at Philadelphia was also delayed, so he still arrived in St Albans before me. Some final rehearsings tomorrow then gig in Stale Buns, where we will be camped for a few days. I'm just hoping the weather will remember to be kind to us.

St Albans gig virtually sold out. We've had to release some of our allocation so it looks like the tour will kick off in great style. Check out support act/trio member Marcus Hummon, Grammy Award winning songwriter and all-round good egg.

Two nights in and a great night tonight in York. There were indeed some under-rehearsed moments in St Albans but such is Beth's charm that it didn't really matter. She has a great rapport with her audience and they love her. Tonight was much better and at least we know where we need to spend time honing. Off to Sandwich tomorrow near Belgium (sold out) then Brighton before heading back towards civilisation Smiley

It wouldn't be a Beth gig without her having to ask someone (over here YOU) what key she should be playing a particular song in!!

Beth has just been on Woman's Hour (Radio 4). Didn't realise she has had so much to cope with in life. Even more in awe now.

Followed on Woman's Hour by a discussion on middle-aged spread.  Shocked

Reminds me of a Boston broadcaster in the 1980's who announced at the end of his programme that he had terminal cancer and only a few hours to live (he died that day). After his announcement, there was a stunned silence. Finally, the next presenter came on air and  uttered the immortal words "ok, and in sport today...."

So she did Woman's Hour then took the train to Stoke to go to Derby and woke up getting into London...

AFter tomorrow's gig in Birmingham she has to get in a car to London then do the Wogan show then take a train to Newcastle for a gig!!!

What a star, what a trooper, what an angel...
