Unlikely...they lost a load on their last (and only) previous two attempts in 2002/3. But, I certainly hope I'm wrong. I like Kimock (a great deal) but Ratdog (to me) was always Mark Karan.

Grateful Dead was one of the specialist subjects on Mastermind this week. The contestant scored 12 points on them. I managed 11.

Well done, I couldn't recall Mickey Hart's dad's name, or the label that released their first single. Although, I did rather better than the contestant on his general knowledge questions.

I remembered Lenny Hart, but not Scorpio. I didn't get any Dead questions right that the contestant didn't. I didn't stay tuned for the general knowledge. Jules

Well spotted, David. Hasn't done me much good, mind. My leave calendar is belly laughing at me...precisely no chance of time off then

This just in: http://www.jambase.com/Articles/121723/Grateful-Dead-Europe-1972-Performance-Coming-To-Theaters
Nice. Thanks for the pointer. If it's getting a cinema airing, can an official DVD release be far behind? It would be even better if an official release of the 17th April Copenhagen full show broadcast were to surface.

Tickets purchased! Anyone know who is in the Terrapin Family Band at the moment or does it continually change?
Aye, he is...its billed as "PL & tTFB"...
Alas, not a given with these geriatric rockers. I was just thinking of the Starship tour this year when Kantner couldn't make it due to being under the knife.

Aye, he is...its billed as "PL & tTFB"...
Alas, not a given with these geriatric rockers. I was just thinking of the Starship tour this year when Kantner couldn't make it due to being under the knife.
Of course he might get ill or something like that, but in that case I very much doubt the gig would go ahead. tTFB is not Starship which is a group entity in itself, although I thought Starship touring without Kantner was pretty unforgiveable actually.... This is a Phil Lesh gig featuring tTFB. It's a different thing. They do plenty of (billed as tTFB) gigs without Phil...this isn't one of them.
