In the spirit of Infrared Roses & Greyfolded, this might not find sympathy with many, but it is, nonetheless, great fun & I enjoyed it greatly. Perhaps a bit more mainstream, this has popped up on Amazon, an upcoming release from the middle show of a 3 night run at The Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY in March 1990. Anyone familiar with the 1990 live compilation "Without A Net" will recall the splendid 16+ minute version of "Eyes of the World", featuring saxophonist Bransford Marsalis. This is the whole show with Marsalis playing on "Bird Song" in the first set & on the whole of the second. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wake-Up-To-Find-Out/dp/B00LNT6E2U/ref=dp_return_1?ie=UTF8&n=229816&s=musicThe extra dimension added by BM makes this a standout show from a very good run only a short time before Brent Mydland's untimely demise & features the band in fine condition, at least musically. Purchase with confidence!

Or you could save up for this instead... http://www.dead.net/store/1990s/spring-1990-other-one-boxwhich is FAR too much 90's Dead for my taste, mind... (even though that was the only year I saw them).

Arf. Ought to have, but didn't, see that coming! OK, so the Marsalis show is pretty special, but it looks like it'll be the same godawful style artwork, plus more rubbish replica "souvenirs" & an extra inflated price for the Royal Mail & HMRC cut, think I'll wait for the download. Given the choice I'd have avoided more 90's shows, but would have been happier with some of the Autumn Euro tour with Bruce Hornsby & Vince Welnick, rather than milking the Spring tour dry.

There's more than enough superb audience recordings of all those shows around on Archive to satisfy me....if one needs it, that's all one needs (imho).....

Rather concerning news from Bob. http://www.ratdoglive.com/Lots of rumours flying around. The semi-official line is a 'shoulder injury'. Don't know why, but I'm unconvinced. Hope all is well anyway....

Even before the two recent box sets, 1989 and 1990 were well represented in live releases. So it is a little curious that they decided to release two massive boxes from those tours. That being said, they are considered among the best of the latter days tours. I think I'm just going to stick with the Bransford Marsalis release.

Looks like their Javascript downloader can't find the file on the server to start the transfer. However, the link was available in the html source (as it is used to start the on-page mp3 player). Jules: You can right-click and "save as" this link: http://rhino.edgeboss.net/download/rhino/gdead/30days/2014/day7_5p6ywcl_candyman.mp3
