Apart from the fact it's from '89 and it's already been released, I'm wildly excited...

Thanks for the tip, Dave, I've downloaded Dick's Picks Vol. 3 after reading those recommendations. I've tried so hard ((c) Daevid Allen) to not start on the Dick's/David's Picks series - oh dear...

I have a handful of Dicks Picks but not that one. I'm no expert but I thought 1977 wasnt their best year. Perhaps I need to investigate. Although, no, I dont need an y more Grateful Dead material. Or do I? '77 is great. Very high energy. Columbian marching powder may have had a lot to do with this...allegedly.

Not really off-topic (I guess) -- Here's my take, along with a friend, of the Dead's "Crazy Fingers." Just uke, keyboards and vocals. Hope you like it. https://youtu.be/iDFeT1PtScQ

Here's a genuine offer for anyone in the UK. A longtime Deadhead has uploaded their entire collection of good quality live Dead & Ratdog shows onto hard drives & is looking to dispose of the source CDs. There are 8 large wallets available, 6 Dead & 2 Ratdog. Given their size, they will need to be collected from either near Frome, in Somerset, or from me, in Hereford, depending on your location. This is a free offer, no cost involved. Please send me a pm if interested.

Just discovered (from him, on FB) the news that Tom Constanten (keyboardist '68-'70) has a 17 year old son. He's 76.

I wonder if he's still into Scientology?

I wonder if he's still into Scientology? I think not, but I can't confirm that. He's definitely a thinker though...his FB posts are very wide ranging and philosophical in tone.

The 50th anniversary Workingman's Dead 3-CDer arrived a day early (Discs 2 & 3 are 2/21/71 - and bloody marvellous they are too)

That whole 6 night run at Portchester is pretty fab & widely available in excellent quality. Also worth checking out is the outtakes selection "Workingman's Dead- The Angel's Share". It's officially sactioned. It's also a bit bitty, but fascinating & most enjoyable. Available for free at lots of outlets (Apple, Amazom, Spotify, etc.), but Soundcloud gets my vote: https://soundcloud.com/grateful-dead-445960714
