If anyone has a copy of the souvenir programme from Sandy's final tour in 1977, can they get in touch with me please off-board. It's needed for a forthcoming Universal project and neither the record company nor her estate has a copy.

Thanks.

I understand a box set is in the offing.

And as it's profit-making, don't let it out of your hands without getting some payment for it!

That's for sure.  With sets out of her BBC output (both with Fairport and solo), plus the Fledg'lng box, what else could there be?   Huh

Indeed, the one that started it all!

Hummm......perhaps we're looking at a repackaging of the Royalty show, w/ program and t-shirt!

I'd but it!!  Grin

The box set is being compiled by Andrew Batt. This is a message Andrew sent to the SandyDennyList on 1 February when the news leaked out somewhat early via The Word podcast:

Hi All,
The boxset will be all Sandy’s recordings solo and with Fairport, Strawbs and Fotheringay. Amazingly, there are actually some real gems that have not been released but I don't want to give too much away as a final running order has not been agreed yet, but this will be the last word on Sandy’s recorded legacy. Aside from that we have many rare and unseen photos and other memorabilia.
Andrew

Anyway, this thread was not about the box set. It was to ask if any nice Talkawhiler out there has a copy of the souvenir programme they'd be kind enough to lend so it can be scanned in for the art work. I'm sure you will receive an acknowledgement in print at the very least.

To Whom it May Concern,

Please include a DVD with the Fotheringay performances of "Too Much of Nothing" and "Gypsy Davey" from Beat Club in 1970.

Gracias,
John

Oh no, here we go again. Can't afford it, just had the drive block paved. Oh go on then.....

I second the request re the Beat Club performances. Universal probably own the rights anyway.

No, there was indeed a souvenir. It doesn't mention the tour but it was produced to accompany it. A very kind Talkawhiler contacted me via email to offer a copy for loan, so I think we're sorted now. Thanks to all.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, with that lovely pic of that they used on the front of the WKWTTG box set, I had one of these and being a young and foolish student I cut it up to stick the various photos on my wall.  Aaagh! After countless hours of therapy I had almost come to terms with this mindless act of vandalism ..until now, that is.
