Let's see!! Women, Krista Detor is my big favorite.
You said folk scene, but I don't really know too many of them any more. I'd jump at the chance to sing with Casandra Wilson. Lynn Miles.
Men, I really like Seth Lakeman. It's pity Elliott Smith is gone. Kurt Elling is the best singer on the planet right now.
Instrumentalists, I'd have to say Bill Frisell. A Norwegien sax player Bendik Hofseth.
I'm sure if I spent more time on it, there's a host of others.
