I have always enjoyed your work and admired you as a vocalist and songwriter, but as a fan of Pavlovs Dog, I have always wondered how you and David Surkamp got together and if there was any possibility of you working together in the future? Hifi were very much of their time, but I certainly revisit both albums regularly. I would like to say that I think the Joy Mining album recently is in my opinion one of your finests records and also a few years ago I got the opportunity to see you live in Morecambe and myself and the friend I took with me, consider it the finest live performance, either of us have ever seen.

Brendan, you should be my publicist!
Yeah, David. We both had recently moved to Seattle, we had the same management and got on very well.
The band was really just an extension of that. We offset each other perfectly on stage. I could calm his madness and he had a knack of geeing me up. Hi Fi was the ultimate 3 guitar, bass and drum, dance band.
Though..I can't say I really want to revisit that. I always get a very uncomfortable feeling seeing 60 year olds cavorting around the stage as though they were still 21.

Thanks for the reply,
I have to agree with you there, I have to admit the recent stuff and "Some days you eat the bear.." are never far off the stereo. Thanks for the music over the years.
