This was a favorite album of a dear friend of mine. He runs a music cafe in my home town. He suggested we do a weeks worth of shows at his place, featuring a live version of the album. I turned him down flat and then went home to think about it. eventually I decided it was a great idea and put together a band of choice Dutch musicians. We then persuaded an impressario to put book a theater tour. It was a natural extention of that to record a few nights. We actually filmed two nights also, but decided against spending the money on manufacturing a DVD.
I think the live version is as good, if not better, than the original studio album.
