What's the current betting on Swarb being involved?

cant see it, however  Swarb is doing it his way these days and anything is possible
still cant see it

If it is in for the whole of the tour then I imagine there'd be a few dates he'd appear at?  Maybe?

he'd just take over the set and do Spens Roll Eyes

the folk version of John Cage's 4' 33"

As have I.....

I'm just minded that we don't want to be accused of starting a rumour. But that Tweet does make it look as though it could be happening, I'll admit.

I don't think we started the rumour. I think the band started the rumour. Which makes it less of a rumour.

Of course  ... it could be Excalibur Wink

Or as someone on the Facebook thread has suggested - the folk version of John Cage's 4' 33"

Oh God, not that blimming Excalibur tosh again. We should be told in advance, before buying tickets!!!

Well if it is as unconfirmed rumour, then The Beck Theatre at least has taken it to heart:

Does anyone know if the Loughborough box office is open yet?  There's nothing on the website...

Its not unconfirmed, Heather...on Facebook, on Saturday Fairport's Cropredy Convention Official Page (aka the office - presumably Simon or Gareth?) wrote "Good work Fairporters. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the album, Fairport will be playing Babbacombe Lee in it's entirety in the first half of their Wintour. The second half will be given over to the new CD (currently being recorded) and other favourites."

When I rang them a couple of weeks ago they didn't even know the gig was happening. I'll keep trying.

Of course, that might mean that the first half of the dates get "Babbacombe Lee" and the second half of the dates get the new CD....

For those going to Loughborough, just received this email from them:

"Thanks for your enquiry. We are awaiting confirmation of the contract from the agent at present and would think that it will go on sale in time for our winter brochure in December. If you ring us on 01509 231914 or check our website we can update you."

Can't wait. Have been doing a bit of revision (well) in advance and it only struck me recently how 'Dream Song' shares a certain vibe with 'Entangled' by Genesis from their A Trick of the Tail. Probably a coincidence.

Swindon tickets now on sale direct from the Wyvern Theatre box office.

I just got front row.

Really, really hope Babbacombe Lee is happening.

I have a mate dithering about whether to come to Colchester with me. What should I play him?
