Full House v The Wood & The Wire - a sound thrashing
Tipplers Tales v A Sense Of Occasion - an easy victory
What We Did On Our Holidays v Rising For The Moon - controversial winning goal awarded by this ref
Expletive Delighted v Liege & Lief* - an 8-0 drubbing
Babbacombe Lee v Unhalfbricking - close, but the more consistent team grab a narrow victory
Nine v Over The Next Hill - result was never in any doubt
Fairport Convention v Jewel In the Crown - oldies still punching above their weight
Gladys Leap v XXXV - squeaked by on penalties

* Let's watch the spelling on this one, Gub!   Wink

Full House v The Wood & The Wire
Tipplers Tales v A Sense Of Occasion
What We Did On Our Holidays v Rising For The Moon
Expletive Delighted v Liege & Leif
Babbacombe Lee v Unhalfbricking (draw)
Nine v Over The Next Hill (draw) - my copy of Nine hasn't arrived yet.
Fairport Convention v Jewel In the Crown
Gladys Leap v XXXV

Some interesting matches there and although it seems to be with the veterans so far  I can see potential for a couple of upsets as a sturdy set of Journeymen grace the next round.

Hmm, a trend appears to be developing here ... a matchup involving RT vs RT will be excruciatingly difficult to predict.

You missed one, Bob.  The harder the choice, the more necessary the result!

You are lucky I don't call them Standard Liege & Lief!  Wink

Here's my ten pennorth.

Full House v The Wood & The Wire  Sir Patrick spins and delivers a perfect ball into the back of the net.
Tipplers Tales v A Sense Of Occasion  The pub team still rising to the occasion.
What We Did On Our Holidays v Rising For The Moon  Youthful exuberance wins out over more mature but ponderous tactics.
Expletive Delighted v Liege & Lief Something of a drubbing by the plucky Belgians.
Babbacombe Lee v Unhalfbricking  Dying's very easy, scoring's very hard!
Nine v Over The Next Hill  Polly on the scoresheet!
Fairport Convention v Jewel In the Crown  Full time shows the wiser.
Gladys Leap v XXXV  A performance worthy of honour & praise.

Full House v The Wood & The Wire    midfield partnership of thompson and swarbrick see off the youthful skills of Chris leslie
Tipplers Tales v A Sense Of Occasion    Old boys have an indian summer seeing off the wily veterans
What We Did On Our Holidays v Rising For The Moon   Youthful vigour and inventiveness  sees of gallant challenge from sturdy seniors
Expletive Delighted v Liege & Leif   Masterclass in attacking foils unusually quiet display from the reinvigorated, freshly strengthened side
Babbacombe Lee v Unhalfbricking] in a closely fought battle the youthful team proved just too innovative for hard working JBL
Nine v Over The Next Hill  roared on by the crowds Nine saw off the challenge from the OTNH mob with some ease
Fairport Convention v Jewel In the Crown  Closest fought game of the round but a muscular performance saw off the innovative attacking skills of the FC team
Gladys Leap v XXXV  With a mixture of youth and experience and good choice of subs GL were just too good for a lacklustre XXXV showing

Full House v The Wood & The Wire  Both sides on excellent form there, but there has to be a winner in this game
Tipplers Tales v A Sense Of Occasion some mediocre play from both sides, but a final burst of energy from the old boys just clinches it
What We Did On Our Holidays v Rising For The Moon
Expletive Delighted v Liege & Lief Any easy walk over for the much stronger side
Babbacombe Lee v Unhalfbricking A dazzling display of team cohesion wins the day
Nine v Over The Next Hill Another less than stellar game
Fairport Convention v Jewel In the Crown
Gladys Leap v XXXV

Some of my matches are in extra time and some have already progressed to the penalty shoot-out.  Yes, it's as close as that.

Every track has to 'step up to the plate' and try to get past me into the goal.  I scoop up the tracks that are off-target and send them, like Gareth Southgate and Chris Waddle, back to the centre circle.   There have been tears and dashed hopes - and that's just from me!

Full House v The Wood & The Wire
Tipplers Tales v A Sense Of Occasion (Penalties)

Expletive Delighted v Liege & Lief
Babbacombe Lee v Unhalfbricking (Extra time)
Nine v Over The Next Hill
Fairport Convention v Jewel In the Crown
Gladys Leap v XXXV    (Penalties)
