OK own up now - who suggested Excalibur? David VB did - I checked. Excalibur, Status Quo, Little Johnny England and Bellowhead so far, but there are another 69 pages of suggestions to get through...

Can I just ask, has any suggestion here ever resulted in an actual booking? Yes, two from last year's thread made it this year.... I think Shane meant has a suggestion here caused a band to be booked. Given the number of suggestions that get made on here it is highly likely that some will coincide with actual bookings (in fact I'm surprised that only two suggestions made it; I would have thought the number would be higher) but those are only coincidences. Tchoh!! With all my usual modesty and humbleness, I refer you to................................... http://www.talkawhile.co.uk/yabbse/index.php?topic=35937.msg522617#msg522617

Evarose..... http://www.myspace.com/evarosebandThe obserbvant amongst you might recognise one member of this band, who has a Pegg number of 2....and those who are *very* observant might realise that they've played the copredy stage before....anyone remember Harlequinn?.... Well, they've reinvented themselves, and they rock....

Unfortunately, Andy, Kerfuffle played their last gig at Shrewsbury Folk Festival this year. Faustus would be brilliant, good call!

I will second the Eric Bibb suggestion. Saw him early on this year and he was brilliant, one of the best gigs I have ever been to.

Mary Chapin Carpenter (with DM) Oh yes - what a fine band that was, over 10 years ago at the Lyric Hammersmith!

Be lucky to get Kathryn Tickell as Cropredy always seems to clash with the Folkworks summer school, which she runs.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-EiKPrAOHAI fully accept that the blessed St Roy is an impossible dream, but I see no reason whatsover that Fairport and k d cannot make a good go of this and I think it would suit Simon's voice perfectly in a duet.

Sorry to double post, but whilst I am it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkQFpmdYOM0Fairport to be backing band, and they won't need any conducting!
