Ry Cooder Ooooh, that would be a treat. And while we're at it, let's include the Chieftains as well.

If you want a boogie, get the master, George Thorogood and The Destroyers.

Richard Thompson - based on every other year should be there anyway I hope! Show of Hands - about time they were back at Cropredy. Peter Gabriel - Haven't seen him live since Foxtrot (when Genesis were good - IMO) Eluveitie - They are still Folk but with more of an edge!

That depends - he usually rolls up for the 5-yearly anniversaries, the next one being 2012....BUIT he does have a new band CD out, so who knows....might bring the band in 2011, and solo with the chaps in 2012.... I'd be happy!

it would be great if richard thompson was there next year, mainly just to do a guest slot with fairport, he really adds some wushter (soon to be on urban dictionary if you're interested) to the music with his input on leccy guitar.
also, i reckon paul weller would be a good addition. does anybody agree or is it just me?

Paul Weller is brilliant live - but don't think that Cropredy would suit and vice-versa

Can't see why not - he talks favourably about Fairport in the Island documentary, and was involved with The Imagined Village.

OK own up now - who suggested Excalibur? David VB did - I checked. Oh dear. They always say your sins will find you out. Please don't tell the boss, she would never let me forget it. (I did mean as a separate set in my defence.)

No-one has mentioned the Honourable Lady of this Parish, Judy Dyble, yet.
Surely my Cropredy buddy Chas and I aren't the only ones ?
I'd love to see Roy Wood again, his turn in '97 was one of my favourite Cropredy acts ever.

I did, some time back on that other thread that you can't see unless you ask to enter the Corporation Arms. For what it's worth, here's my full wish list... Comus Judy Dyble with guests (assorted Fairports, Trader Hornes & people she's worked with since. Fripp to add a real fantasy) Mary Jane (simply too good to be relegated to the fringe) Who else?.... Melanie (Safka, not B or C!) Railroad Earth Chumbawamba (but I want the full band line-up from a few years ago in preference to the current cut down acoustic version) Trees (sadly I believe one of them has died though) Ed Alleyne-Johnson Curved Air The Owl Service Pamela Wyn Shannon Leningrad Cowboys (possibly my favourite band to ever hear at Cropredy in the past. Bring them back!) Bill Bailey (he could take over the Digance slot & give us some actual laughs for a change!) Gary Moore (A good blues set, but he has to revive 'Over The Hills & Far Away' for us folk-rock fans) Horslips!!!!!!!!!!!! Moving Hearts Home Service Alan Stivell (with a full electric folk-rock band, including Dan Ar Bras)

Seeing Wood mentioned... I'd like to see Chris Wood play with the small ensemble that he toured with recently. Perfect for a sunny afternoon.
