I enjoyed Musafir, the Rahjastan gypsy band a few years back.
They'd be even better now with the big screen so their walking-on-broken-glass and things could be seen by more people.
I'd like to see more World music acts, apart from the reggae/ska stuff we've had.
Nowt wrong with it, but a bit of African music is just as good for getting the dancing going.
Ladysmith Black Mambazo are great for feelgood summer afternoon vibes.

Just been on recent gigs expounding virtues of the Angie Palmer Band, she's on at the Brasenose on Sat 9th Oct.
We were chatting after the gig and she was saying they'd love to do it. She knows the festival and the village, I reckon they'd be just the job. All very nice people as well, would fit in perfectly. And they don't half rock when they get going!
Guitarist Steve (Billy) Buckley gets special mention!

rodrigo y gabriela. i saw em on jools hollands hootenanny and thought they were amazing. they do a great version of stairway to heaven aswell.
and although i may be in the minority in even having heard of them. an all girl band called katzenjammer are rather good, and a i reccomend everybody gives them a listen.
i'm done now.

Having seen them last night I would say The Jim Moray Band. Really energised, loud and driving folk-rock. He's a great singer, uses the electronics well, and the band are terrific. The drummer Dave Burbidge lifts the pieces very much in the style of Dave Mattacks, and the other two - Saul Rose and James Delarre are great musicians.
I know Jim isn't to everyone's taste on here, but as a live act they are obvious Cropredy candidates. At times I was hearing vintage folk rock - the match of anything from the 1970s.

Bill Kirchen. Used to be the demon guitarist with Commander Cody & his Lost Planet Airmen. He seems to do little gigs all over the place in the States, Don't know if he'd consider coming over here. He'd do OK at Croppers as he has a great sense of humour and can't half spank the plank. I strongly agree and think this a serious shout for Cropredy. now how do you get Mr Pegg interested!! I tried several times to get him to book 'Something Nasty in the Woodshed' he even went to see them , unfortunately in an inappropriate setting but he seemed to end up booking the Tindalls who were supporting! |

Agreed. She's brilliant. John Peel said about a Glastonbury many years ago that the best thing he saw that year was an impromptu session by Sharon round the back of some caravan.
