The Urban Folk Quartet should be fine. They have a girl that plays fiddle (I think) who smiles all the time and seems incredibly cheerful. Could be a contender for the "Pete Bailey smiler of the festival " award for 2011.
Is that the one I said needed a couple of good meals in her? I believe that was her.  They're great! Not sure if they have the Wow! factor for the field though... How about The Sweet - sadly without 2 of the originals who are no longer with us. I think Andy Scott still lives near Pewsey in Wilts if Peggy wants to track him down...
Big Country are on the road next year, with Mike Peters from The Alarm instead of the late, great Stuart Adamson.
And I'm told that the Sensational Alex Harvey Band are once again, er, sensational. Even without Alex and Zal.

They sang three songs at different times on the show, I don't remember them wearing such poncey outfits. Ruffled necked shirts etc....  |

Haven't been to Cropredy since 07 but hopefully we're all ready for 2011. Here's my 10 cents; Edgar Broughton (solo, as the 'band' is no more) Arthur Brown (deserves to be on the Cropredy stage !!) The Rutles (would be great fun) Mark Farner (from Grand Funk Railroad) Osibisa (haven't seen them since '97) Leon Russell (and maybe his english friend?) The Stranglers Colosseum David Byrne Horslips (!!!) John Lees' Barclay James Harvest (RIP Wolly) Roger Hodgeson (would be super) and why not Peter Gabriel ??!! |
