I'd be interested to know in what order you guys and gals rate Fairport's 3 best era line ups?
Mine would be:
1. What we did on our holidays era
2. Full House era
3. Rising for the moon era
Should I start compiling the 3 least liked now? Probably have a soft spot for some of those too in truth.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to sit on the fence so hard I'll be able to feel the splinters, but as I'm a fan of all eras of FC, I think all the lineups have something to offer in their own unique way...but, here goes :

I too feel the need to sit on the fence. What should be my criteria for deciding. My instinct says 1. Full House 2. Angel Delight/Babbacombe Lee 3. The Maart years for their spectacular live performances. But now I have to beat myself up for not including the Nine/Tippler's Tales/WWDOOH line ups which I love passionately too. All of which goes to prove that Fairport are not really a single band but but about 17 different ones! |
