Uh....sort of, maybe, not sure.  Is that a quote?  Cos they surely don't say things like that anyplace that I've been!   Undecided

It's sort of a quote, it's an adaption of a couple of lines from one of Catallus's most famous poems.  And now we're so far away from the topic we can't even see it.

Have Fairport ever sung in Latin?

I seem to be making a habit of that.  It's not done on purpose - I just get interested in the details.  Sorry.

Surely you'll be getting one free, Chris?

My thoughts exactly.  I hope I'm proved wrong, but it sounds like a bit of a 'cut n paste' job.

The missus has just got an email with lots of photos wot will be in the book.

The shot of the Full House lineup with an IBM 360 mainframe is IMHO worth the price of the book on its own. Resembles a still from 2001 with some of the actors from the Dawn of Man sequence on the wrong set!  Grin Grin

I sort of hoped that if I registered an email address expressing my interest I might hear something over the course of six months, from the publishers if not the band. Anyone else either (a) remember this or (b) received anything further?

It looks as though it's being published digitally by a 'Lulu' type online publisher - if the first few pages that can be accessed via http://www.fairportconventionbook.co.uk are any guide - there the band and publisher would be the same, with Nigel Schofield the author.

THere are 124 posts of interest registered so far on the Fairport website. Maybe Simon N will be along soon?.....
