Every Cropredy there were always a couple of trivial things I had to organise with him and without fail he would tell me they were not possible. However you would walk by half an hour later and he would tell you it was sorted.
That´s right!!!
The first time I met him was at my first Cropredy festival in 1993. Peggy sent me to Mick to ask for some Saturday after show passes. Mick said something like: "I don´t know you." And ignored me. I said some nasty things about Mick to a German friend of mine - in German. Some minutes later I got the passes.
On Sunday at the cricket match I met Mick again and he asked me: "Was möchstest du gerne trinken? Ich gebe dir einen aus." (What would you like to drink? It´s on me) I wish I had a photo of my face, Mick collapsed laughing.
I raise a glass to you. Or 2.
