Seeing the excellent Kat and Jamie last night has led me to trying to remember all the acts thet have supported FC over the years on Wintours...

Does anyone have a list?

I seem to remember this topic coming up a few years ago, but can't find it.

The  Expletive Delighted site will tell you. Click on Winter Tours and each programme cover.

The first time I saw them in late 1970, they were supported by Allan Taylor and Roger Ruskin Spear.

Does that count?  Wink

I think this is the link to use: http://www.musikfolk.co.uk/expletive-delighted/index.html - a Google search sends you to the old version of the site which doesn't work properly. It had me stumped for a bit.

Can I add Bryn Haworth circa 1975 (Rising for the Moon tour) to the list of old support acts? Unless of course my memory is playing me tricks in which case I'll deny I ever mentioned this.

I really must get around to thinking up something witty and urbane to put here.

Chris McGregor & Dudu Pukwana at Royal Festival Hall,14th Feb 1970. Possibly the first instance of Fairport, or some members, at least, joining the support act for their last number. My first exposure to both township jive & real live (as opposed to radio sessions) Fairport.  Fab.  Smiley

First time I saw them it was Simon Mayor and Hillary James. Then it was PJ, TTL, Anthony John Clarke, Ken and Phil and then Flossie and Kieth last year. I also saw them with Earl Okin on the spring tour last year.

Thanks all...  I wonder why there was no programme issued in 1993?
