Anyone need a lift? From Scottish Borders to Cropredy

Hi! It's been a while since I've been here.....missed last year because of the move and no job etc etc but things are now looking up! So, we're coming this year and contemplating driving from the Borders but want to get a carful if possible. Anyone interested in contributing to petrol costs and joining us? Room for 3 more.......could pick up on the way?

 You're driving?!    Can't the train take the strain? Very expensive journey though by train as we found out travelling to Scotland last year for hols. If we're seriously looking at greener energy I do think rail prices need to come down a lot!

We're great thanks! Settled in and loving being part of the community. I'm teaching at the nearby High School and the girls have made good friends and got involved in all sorts of things. Keith is fixing computers, joined loads of committees, gardening, looking after our chickens and still writing.

We're got over an hours drive in the opposite direction to the nearest station and then at least £200 return train fare for 2, so thought if we could lift share could work out cheaper and easier all round, especially as we only drop the girls off Thurs am and  I have to be back at work on the Monday.....

Thanks Malcolm, website is under maintenance at the moment.....never heard of it before. But we usually travel with kids in tow and use a Family railcard. In fact, we could save at least £50 by bringing a child to Cropredy!
