Hello Mark, I was wondering if you were going to work with the Boy Lard anytime soon, and specifically if the Shirehorses would be getting saddled up again?

P.S. can you and Stuart come back to R2 please, and bring Mark Lamarr with you?

I think I've answered you p.s. elsewhere on this thread matey.

When asked if Lard and I would ever work together again I used to say 'never say never' as I really didn;t know but I think i do know now. We won't work together again as far as I can see. We never fell out but I think we'd both had enough when it finished and it is pretty much impossible to see how we could become those people again. Mark and Lard seem like two other guys now really. The more people tell me how much they loved that show the more proud I become...but the more it seems like it would be pointless and impossible to go back to any of it. It would only be a disappointment I think. It's not just us....everyone who listened is in a different place in life now and I don't think it could be the same.
It's not beyond the realms of possibility that would be part of something together at some point for a one-off or so, but never as Mark and Lard or The Mighty Horse.

having said that...if the BBC said...we want it back and it's that or nothing i know what i'd say. I know what marc would say too.

Thanks for the answer Mark.

I did enjoy the R1 show, the 2200 hrs to midnight one you did, one of the best shows ever imo, and the afternoon one was head and shoulders better than anything else on the station. But I suppose it was "of its time" and we listeners must content ourselves with our memories, and the Shirehorses back catalogue. And try and find a way of listening to 6music at work.
