Philip is probably far too modest to draw attention to this himself, but the following looks very exciting: Sandy Denny: Reflections on her Music by Philip Ward £9.99 Published 07/11/2011 http://www.troubador.co.uk/book_info.asp?bookid=1585

Sounds wonderful - Phillip, could you please tell us if this is a collection of new writings or a compilation of your excellent Sandy blog in book form ?

A bit of both, Dan. It’s a collection of my writings on Sandy which have appeared in magazines, album notes and online over the years, together with new material and a host of photos, some of them previously unpublished. Philip

I'm really looking forward to reading this Philip. Several years ago, I remember suggesting to you that expanding your thoughts on Sandy would be a marvellous idea. Many congratulations to you.

£7.49. Bang goes the profit margin! Actually, royalties are based on the cover price, so it doesn’t make any difference to the author how much they knock off. Amazon take a bigger percentage than other booksellers, which is how they are able to discount books so heavily (and offer free postage) while still turning a handsome profit. Not that I’m complaining. Last time I looked on Amazon the book was nudging Dylan’s Chronicles in the ‘folk bestsellers’ -- and I haven’t even seen the final proofs yet!
