According to the tour programme Joan Armatrading confirmed.

I'm happy with that!

I'm not happy with that.  (for reasons I'm not allowed to express on here)

Really pleased with Joan being confirmed. Haven't seen her for years and I think she'll be great.

And which have nothing to do with Valerie Singleton? Presumably because she will feel quite comfortable in the company of Mr Digance?  Grin

Having said all that, her Greatest Hits album is still rather splendid. It won't be the first time I have had to overlook an artist's worldview and just focus on their music.

Joan leans in a very specific direction politically and has rubbed a few people the wrong way as a consequence. I suspect this is what Pete was alluding to.

Sorry, I'm confused.  Huh

Are people saying that they are going to ignore 'her world-view' and focus on her music... because she is gay?

A). Isn't that what we should always do?
B). Is being gay really that unusual to force that comment?

Surely there must have been other gay musicians at Cropredy in the past?

No, I'm pretty sure that's got nothing to do with all of this.

Nothing to do with sexuality whatsoever (and is she, by the way?). I believe it is a political issue.

Same here.  She once worked with Gordon Brown in support of BAME (the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic coalition).  That's all I could find that was upfront or political.
