On Friday 2nd November, Peggy will celebrate a significant birthday at Birmingham Town Hall.
tickets for the gig are not yet on sale but anyone who is considering travelling to the celestial city to join the party, might be advised to think about making an early hotel reservation, there are some good deals available.

At the moment for example;
Premier Inn £37 for a double room, close to the town hall

Is that a fiver as in £5, or in the local vernacular for doing someone a good turn (as in "Me mate lent me his van as a fiver")?

His 60th bash was great fun. I might try and do this to make up for missing Crops.

Yes, we thought that! My birthday is about seven weeks after Dave's (same year - 1947), so I have no problem remembering how old he is.
