This concert by Peter and the Drifters has kindly been made available for download

http://dbs-repercussion.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/peter-drifters-sandy-denny-tribute-1998.html

It took place in St. Ann's Church, Brooklyn Heights, NY on November 21 1998 and was broadcast live on WFUV-FM, NYC.

This was indeed a wonderful concert.

I posted this.

Even though it's on my fan blog about The dB's, I am also a huge SD fan. The link between the two is Peter Holsapple, who organized the whole 1998 tribute concert. He's one of the leaders of The dB's (which have re-formed after a 20-year hiatus, by the way).

One more SD connection: Peter was in a great band called The Continental Drifters. For my money, they recorded some of the best Sandy and Fairport/Richard Thompson covers I've ever heard on their album called "Listen Listen." It's available for purchase directly from Blue Rose Records:

http://bluerose-records.de/

Click on Continental Drifters on the left & you'll be taken to the order page. You can also click each track title to preview the tracks in RealAudio.

Enjoy the concert and, if you order it, The Continental Drifters' "Listen listen."
