This is strange for me. I was convinced he had died a good few years back. I feel sure I had read about it!

Daryl Dragon, the "Captain" of The Captain and Tennille.
Love Will Keep Us Together? Muskrat Love? Shop Around? Do That To Me One More Time?
I used to watch their silly variety show when I was a kid.
...also the keyboard player for the Beach Boys for many years.

Also sang on a couple of Alan Parsons' tunes, as I recall.

Also Daryl Dragon, famously the Captain of & Tennille fame but also a regular cohort of The Beach Boys and others as a keyboard player. Aged 76.

Unconfirmed reports that Clydie King has passed away. She was a key part of Bob Dylan's band during the gospel years, worked extensively as a backing singer with Ray Charles, sung with Leonard Cohen and many others.

"Possibly" being the key word. This does not ever seem to have been substantiated even by Clydie herself, though I have no doubt that Bob has been and enthusiastic swordsman over the years.

Haha. That term is always equal parts amusing and horrible. It's very 70s, isn't it? They used to call George Harrison that too. Jules

I’m just reading tributes to Ted McKenna, who I knew best as Rory Gallagher’s drummer, and also an alumnus of SAHB and MSG. By all accounts a tremendous chap and an enthusiastic mentor.

This is shocking...he played at the Robin only three weeks ago at a tribute to Cozy Powell from whom he took over drum duties in MSG. I'm currently reading a SAHB biography and had just got to the bit where Tear Gas formed, and Ted was talking about when he changed his name from Eddie and Al added the Z. Sad to think that when he speaks in the book from now on he is no longer with us. R.I.P

I haven't seen an actual report yet of Ted dying, has anyone else seen it verified? We all know how rumours spread.
