Sue Draheim passed away from brain cancer yesterday, 11th April. R.I.P.
Very sad news, Faroe Annie, Henrythe Human Fly, Stroll On, an important part of some of my favourite records and a real talent, my thoughts go out to those fortunate enough to know her. Yes,always there in the background, and now gone. So sad.

Not a musician but, nonetheless a very important part of Pink Floyd's history.
Farewell Storm Thorgerson.

Indeed. He's already been saluted by many of us over in the celebrity death thread, Andrew:- http://www.talkawhile.co.uk/yabbse/index.php?topic=38854.870Jules

That's such bad news, I hadn't heard. A really gifted songwriter and deserving of a lot more recognition than he received, but he somehow seemed to slip through the net. Only 53 too.

An offhand remark from someone at Great Big Sea's concert yesterday reminds me that Rita MacNeil, a very popular singer proudly from Cape Breton Island passed away earlier this week. I only knew her by name really, but a quick glance on Youtube shows that her loss to Canada is deeply felt.

Christina Amphlett of the Divinyls, MS and Breast Cancer.
Pops 'also rans' maybe, but they had some great songs, and 53 is a tragic age to die.

My old band used to cover I Touch Myself. We were mature like that. Pretty cool song, actually. Jules

Have just seen a memoriam notice from his agency. Very sad news. Jackie and I shared a stage with him at the Royal Albert Hall. Apart from being a stunning musician he was such a charming man..
