Another Spider gone. Why do I think of his sideburns?
With Trevor, it's the first thing most of us think of! For me it's the huge fur earings he wore on TOTP - I had a similar pair  # Bridg, those were his sideburns.  Jules Nooo!! Oh dear I feel a right plonker now and to think I walked around with those earings - I hope nobody thought they were MY sideburns!!! |

While I know jazz music has virtually no currency in this realm I do believe there are one or two others of my stripe occasionally around here and in such here to note the passing of one of the music's finest pianists of the past 30 or so years , Mulgrew Miller from a stroke at 57 years old. While carving out more than a notable career as a leader himself I came to know him through all the following associations, Art Blakey and the Jazzmessengers, Tony Williams Quintet and Betty Carter, all also gone from this world, plus too many others to name. Alan Myers, drummer with Devo from 1976 - 1985 ish.
Saw them a few times in the seventies, then they just dropped off my radar completely.
Will now re-visit the first album/singles.
