Yes I clocked that one Robin DDDBMT were one of my fave bands in the 60s/70s They were always better in smaller venues. I remember them from the Bowling Alley club in Nottingham..(and other venues too)

Just seen this elsewhere. Interesting bloke. Always worth reading about, if not necessarily always worth listening to...imho.

Damn indeed. I have been listening to much of his work, courtesy of the CSN box over the last few days.

Dallas was a damned fine drummer. Stills leaned on him heavily in the late 60s for the first CSN recordings, and again in the early 70s in Manassas. It was Neil Young that squeezed him out of CSNY, claiming he didn't play so well on his songs (though he later saluted the beat Dallas provided for Sea Of Madness). I always thought that did a lot to unsettle the CSNY unity, and I wish Neil had been more patient. Maybe it was a power-play, who knows. Dallas later had drug problems, which would lead to his falling from grace with the famous names that once hired him. But he was vital to the sound of many of the records I love, and I salute his contributions to rock 'n roll history. RIP Dallas.

Edgar Froese. The Purple night on Sky Arts is off and Tangerine Dream albums for the rest of the night. A great pioneer in electronic music. RIP.

Demis Roussos. OK I didn't like his later stuff, but Aphrodite's Child were great. I still have an original copy of 666.

I'm late with this one:
6th January Mick Stott, formerly of Stack Waddy, rock band who recorded on John Peels Dandelion label, passed away. Stackwaddy, as well as other Dandelion artist Kevin Coyne, anticipated punk rock by a few years, IMO.
