Blimey, is it three years already? Probably my favourite jazz man. Alongside Duke, Monk  and Art. I like the piano players.

Jules this also happened to me once. You read something you did not know, you are surprised, excited, shocked or whatever and you post it on a forum only to be told it happened years ago and you think oh dear, why didn't I check the date properly.

John Trudell, Native American activist, poet, musician. 69.

Notorious for publicly burning the US flag. The CDs are pretty good too.

Shame. One of my favourite singles of the 70s. The album, Downtown Tonight is pretty good too. I will give it a spin today in tribute.

Sad to hear that. I saw them a couple of times live, including one double bill with Stackridge a few years ago. Very underrated band.

Andy M Stewart of Silly Wizard. Terrific voice. When I was getting into folk music 30 odd years ago, Silly Wizard were the tops. Never saw them live but have several albums still as well as some solo work of his. The By The Hush album from 1983 or thereabouts is an absolutely stunning album I must get on CD one of these days.

Sad news about Lemmy, but he made it to 70, must have had an amazing constitution.

Doremi, Space Ritual, Hall Of The Mountain Grill and Warrior OTEOT are four of the greatest rock records ever made.
Cheers Lemmy.
