 Sad

Saw him at college ...a very bizarre gig which involved a plastic hen at one point......

I'm googling Andy Newman right now and I can't find anything about his passing.  Where did you hear, Nick?

And Accidents is a terrific track, though possibly better in the single edit than the lengthy album version. Shame the single flopped.

Just found out that David McNiven of the folk-rock trio 'Bread, Love and Dreams' died earlier this year. Not exactly a household name but some people on this forum will be familiar with the music. Interestingly, in recent years he also campaigned for better music opportunities for children with Special Educational Needs  Smiley

Merle was still gigging right up to the end, bless his heart.  I eyeballed his July 4 show last year with Willie Nelson, and his solo show at the funky Nutty Brown Cafe and Amphitheater last fall, but didn't make it happen.  RIP

I had never heard of Howard Marks, but gathered he was Welsh because of the "Boyo"..
I just learned via Wikipedia that his best known claim to fame was being a long time drugdealer..

But okay; it seems he teamed up with some musicians as well, during the second part of his live..
A slightly younger version of Ronnie Biggs?

Less morally questionable.  Yet I still wonder why everyone gives so much of a f*** about a drug dealer.
