Not a good week for you, Jude. “Oh we are known as Penguin Dust, and this it is our song. / It really isn’t very short, but then it isn’t long. / We’ll sing it in the morning, and we’ll sing it every night. / If you have a pint of Penguin Dust, you know then you’ll be all right.”

That's such a shame. Matching Mole have been a staunch Canterbury favourite of mine for some time .

Having been listening to the Hatfields recently, and just bought the first National Health album, I'm sad to hear this.

What a shame. It has not been a good couple of years for the Young family. Friday On My Mind and Waiting For A Train, written decades apart, remain two of my favourite pop singles. And Good Times, as covered by Mott amongst others is one of the all time great rock 'n' roll songs.

It was always a dream of mine to maybe see Fats play live in New Orleans one day. I've loved his music ever since I first heard my mom play his Million Sellers volume 2 album. R.I.P.

Ain't that a shame... I think Fats Domino was pretty active on the nostalgia circuit in the 1980s and 1990s, but I never seized the opportunity.

What the heck was I doing in 1986 that I couldn't find time to see Fats Domino taping Austin City Limits? I was a starving college student and didn't go to many shows back then, but ACL tapings were free and the studio was right there on campus.

Really ? Darnitt. That's almost as bad as me going to my local rock club which had a band on called Packet Of Three. I'd never heard of them, so I went at sat in my usual corner and zoned the band out as background music. When they finished, I remarked how, at times, the singer in the band sound like one of my all time favourites - Steve Marriott. 'Er,'...said my mate...'That WAS Steve Marriott.' Fabulous. I missed a gig I was at.

Almost as good a story as that, I was in a pub in Chertsey when some bloke was singing amusing songs for booze and staggered out at the end of the evening to go home to his houseboat. Viv Stanshall.
