Rab Noakes!
Love his songs. Last saw him at Shrewsbury about 4 years ago when he guested with someone, can't for the life of me remember who. Could have been Brooks or Boo not sure Saw him quite recently with Allen Taylor at a charity event in Wentworth and he looked quite fragile ... RIP an immense talent and influence on Scottish folk music.

He was due to be playing at GBFF in January. I was looking forward to seeing Rab again after too long.

RIP an immense talent and influence on Scottish folk music. I saw him once, quite a few years ago. Like many others, I'm sure, I was made aware of his work by Lindisfarne's early albums - 'Turn a Deaf Ear' on 'Nicely out of Tune' and 'Together Forever' on 'Fog on the Tyne'. A great songwriter and performer.

I recall him doing a terrific set with Barbara Dickson at the Wickham Fest a few years back. RIP

Jah Wobble's very real and heartfelt (and sweary!) tribute to Keith Levene.... Well worth 15 mins of your time if early PIL rock your world. https://twitter.com/realjahwobble/status/1592179558769627137

Just read that Colin Irwin has died. Of all the jounalists that I read over many years, he stood out as one of the most eloquent, most balanced writers, and I always loved reading his missives. RIP Colin.
