If you are in a reflective mood there is nothing better than his Austin Sessions album.

Glad I saw Kris live one time. It was just him his guitar and harmonica, captivating the audience with those genuine lyrics. Every time I listen to Here Comes That Rainbow Again I get a lump in the throat. Here’s to you Kris.

I first remember seeing him in Convoy, I thought he was lovely…I hope they show some films in tribute. I did not have any of his music, how lucky to have seen him perform, so many times, John from Austin.

My sister and her friends went to see A Star is Born numerous times at the cinema when it came out and she bought the soundtrack album so that was my introduction to Kris' music. Interesting to read that it was playing the part of a rock star with a drink problem that made him do something about his own drink habit.

I also just discovered that the song Crippled Crow from that film was originally recorded by Kris and Rita Coolidge on one of the albums they did together. Streisand posted a tribute to him online mentioning how he joined her on stage in Hyde Park in 2019 to do one of the songs from the film.

To paraphrase one of Kris Kristofferson's stories from the stage at ACL Live - He was getting ready to go on with The Highwaymen and he told Willie, "I don't think I can go on tonight; I have a cold." Willie said: "They won't be able to tell the difference."

That's a shame - he (indeed they) always seemed really nice - and professional.  I can't recall any negative stories about BoM.

Sad to say, we're having cottage pie not kippers for tea.

RIP Martin.

Very sad. Too young. His fans will be in shock.
