I’ll raise my coffee mug to Alice in tribute on Thursday for the annual playing of Alice’s Restaurant (a Thanksgiving tradition)

Chris Thompson.
Guitarist and songwriter, born in New Zealand.
Not widely known, but his 1971 self titled album is delightful, in a Nick Drake/Bert Jansch sort of way.

Is this the chap who sang with Manfred Mann's Earth Band?

Percussion master Zakir Hussain. Hard pressed to give a list of everyone he performed with because it would be very long indeed

Very sad, he was one of the outstanding rock bassists of the 70s. Renaissance were never as good without him.
I gather the he and Annie Haslam weren't on speaking terms for decades but I've no idea why.
