Very sad to think there are no members of The Band left.

RIP Garth

Top group The Band. Saw them at IOW in 1969.

I saw Garth and Maud at Truck festival in 2007. The stage was almost broken by the entire congregation of Oxford musicians clamouring to get up, squeeze on and join in.

Thank you once again for that show Garth, and farewell

You were both blessed to have seen absolute legends. Before Levon Helm passed away, I always hoped we'd see him at Cropredy, ideally with Garth! Sadly many dreams never come true.... Sad

I got to see Levon Helm and his band in Austin in 2010. His voice was pretty much gone but it was a rollicking good time nonetheless. I never got to see any other members of The Band live, sadly. The internet tells me the reformed Band without Robbie played familiar venues in Austin in 1983 and again in 1984, when I was in college, but I was oblivious at the time.

R.I.P. Garth Hudson and goodnight all.

The odds on Wyatt being the last original member must have been pretty low!  A sad loss...I've always wondered why he 'retired' at such a 'relatively' early age...
