I'm going to be a nattering on BBC Radio 4 on the 21st October. 4-4.30pm

Auditioning For Auntie

Producers and sound engineers of the time remember the sessions, and musicians such as Peter Hammill of Van der Graaf Generator, Judy Dyble of Fairport Convention and Alvin Stardust recall their audition processes.

This was just repeated on R4 which was nice as I'd completely missed it first time around!

Well, it's being remastered for vinyl by the excellent man who mastered the CD, Jeremy Carroll. Is that what you want to know? Otherwise it all gets a bit technical for poor me  Roll Eyes Cheesy

As it was recorded digitally I assume there isn't an analogue master, but the vinyl master has been made leaving space for the discretion of the disc cutter. Apparently. And more than that delves into the terrifying worlds of mastering and disc cutting and I am lost.. Think you'll need to ask a disc cutting person or a mastering person for further info  Shocked

If anyone out there has hesitated to snap up a copy of Flow & Change, obtain the album posthaste.  It's worth it for the opening track (Black Dog Dreams) alone, a stunning bit of songwriting with lyrics about fear and ghosts, mesmerizing electric guitar, and of course Ms. Dyble's captivating vocals.
