Saw Luke Daniels at Bury Met's 'Homegrown' festival recently and he's worth tuning in for.  Ralph would be a bonus  Smiley

Unfortunately not, Chris. Far too short notice to change long-established travel and hotel plans for the following weekend. Enjoy and take photos!

Spent the most incredible 24hrs in London [I know difficult to believe?] In the company of some of the most incredible of humans. friends, Strangers, All lovers in their way. Memories a plenty, for some, myself included, buckets of emotion, tears a plenty, the most affirmed example of the power of love, Of humanity,of music,of understanding,or maybe not, but accepting. the Man, the music, The Magic, that is Mr Ralph Mctell.  One hell of a human, and in being, sharing, make us all that touch more human. Thank You all.

A great evening on Sunday - about 3 hours of music, many songs, great guests (incl. Danny Thompson, Toni Visconti and John Williams on 'Streets' - amongst others equally impressive) and altogether an unforgettable event.

Good to see you, Tryer....wasn't that just the most amazing couple of gigs?

And excellent to touch base with the whole May clan, minus one.

I was there!!  Grin Saw Chris outside on the way in but I really cant be doing with crushing crowds so didn't or couldn't get anywhere near the foyer and left straight after.

Needless to say the birthday boy sang so well, together with his various backing bands.  Roll Eyes Grin I did look for you Colin, I'm so short I only see kneecaps tho!  Roll Eyes

Peter Hain sat 2 rows in front, saw the top of John Beresford's head and the unmistakable shock of white hair of Wizz Jones (somehow I thought he may have appeared on stage at some point?)

A lovely evening, it was being filmed so hopefully a dvd in the future..

I saw at least three possibly four cameras, 1 each side in the stalls by the side doors on the cross aisle and also directly above them on the shelf. there may of course have been more, Saw Wizz just in front of us and Tony Visconti Sat on the other side of the aisle from us, after one of the ushers came to fetch him I also thought that Wizz may be going to do something later in the show, but it wasn't to be, Hope to catch up with Wizz in March when he's touring with John renbourn. There has been a mention that the camera operator said the DVD will be out in the new year, sadly he failed to say which year, lets hope for a speedy turnround.

There were fixed cameras all over the place, probably filming in HD. (Mostly Canon EOS whatevers)

We arrived just gone 7pm, but went straight into the bar, because the foyer was crowded. We right in the middle of the stalls.
