Jean-Pierre Rasle on bagpipes completed that line-up when I saw them play in/near Warrington around that time.

BTW - I've always thought "Under the Rose" to be a lovely song.

I was listening to that this morning - the version from By Gloucester Docks... with Polly Bolton on vocals.

We saw them play a fee outdoor gig in Chipping Norton town centre on a May Bank Holiday approx 10 years ago.
Maart was standing in for Chris.

Yes, a good show. A bit sloppy as I recall, but great fun & well worth the effort.  Smiley

A few words were forgotten if I remember.
We watched my 3 sons' band play in the town square in Newcastle in the afternoon and then straight off to CN to see FC do similar in the evening. Grin

I remember going to a gig billed as Nicol, Mattacks & Whetstone at the Sunnyside in Northampton in 1989.

I believe there's a short radio session by this trio going around.

I was just looking at the wikipedia timeline, and it looks as if in 76-77 there was a line-up with seven members SN, DS, BR, DP, and Dan ar Braz, Bob Brady and Roger Burridge. Did anybody see them then? What's the oddest/most interesting line-up you have seen?

I remember seeing this line-up at Maidstone College.

There is indeed, it was broadcast on good old Folk on 2 but I can't find the hard disc where it is saved.
