This is what I have been told:
OVERVIEW
Fairport Convention’s 1975 classic album, Rising For The Moon ( their last with Sandy Denny ) has been re-mastered and expanded with home demos, alternates and a Previously Unreleased live recording of “White Dress” from a television performance at LWT from 9th August 1975 plus a second disc containing virtually their entire set recorded live at the LA Troubadour in 1974
Disc One features the original album re-mastered plus the audio from LWT performance of “White Dress” plus Demo versions of “What Is True ?” and “After Halloween” and alternate Takes of “The King and Queen of England” and “Dawn”.
Disc Two features the band on blistering form at the LA Troubadour in 1974 featuring 5 Previously Unreleased songs including “The Ballad of Ned Kelly”, “The Hens March Through The Midden / The Four Poster Bed”, “Hexhamshire Lass”, “Six Days on The Road” and “Down Where The Drunkards Roll”.
The new Deluxe packaging features a new essay by Patrick Humphries and the lavish packaging contains rare photographs of the band and the previously unseen sketches for the album artwork

Thanks for the quick update, mate!  I'll be looking foward to picking it up-- I've actually never heard a recording of "Drunkards" from that tour. Am I right in thinking Trev is on lead vocals? |

Looks like the additional Troubadour tracks are the Trevor/Swarb songs they typically omit from Sandy-era live releases. Yea!!!! Still waiting for Fotheringay Deluxe...

Not my favourite FC album but as my copy is a rapidly teabagging pressing of the original CD release I shall certainly pick this up. Disc 2 makes worthwhile on its own as I don't have the big Sandy box.

"...the audio from LWT performance of “White Dress”  Just the AUDIO Okay...now, I'm sure most of us have seen the 40 second teaser of this fantastic performance on YouTube, if this deluxe edition were to contain a DVD of the whole song, i.e. visual and audio, then I'll be first in the queue to buy it. If the copyright holders are saving it for something then what could they be saving it for ? |
