I think a respectful amount of time has passed since 2013's bash and i set my mind to wondering just who i would like to see next year
As as starter may i politely request 2 top turns who would light up the stage and delight the paying punters The Lee Thompson Ska Orchestra and Cheap Trick

Artists I'd like to see in 2014 who have never played Cropredy :
Cheap Trick The Zombies It's A Beautiful Day Suzanne Vega Jo Harman Alice Russell Aynsley Lister Ian Parker Sid Griffin & The Coal Porters The Beach Boys or Brian Wilson & his band Chas & Dave Fish (as he plays pre-1990 Marillion, as opposed to the actual Marillion who don't very often) Yes Waterboys New Model Army Lucy Ward The Stranglers Teenage Fanclub Albion Band (The Next Generation)
Artists I'd like to see return to Cropredy in 2014 :
Richard Thompson (with his Electric Trio) Chris While & Julie Matthews or Blue Tapestry Steeleye Span Dylan Project Deborah Bonham Ralph McTell Oysterband Show Of Hands Jez Lowe Nick Harper Colvin Quarmby John Otway (with or without Wild Willy Barrett)
And a few fantasies :
Bruce Springsteen Eagles Fleetwood Mac Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Bob Dylan Neil Young AC/DC Paul Simon Leonard Cohen Alison Krauss & Union Station
This list is by no means exhaustive and I'll probably remember more names in a minute, but one thing's for sure - the relative success of Alice Cooper's appearance will give other artists food for thought. 18,000 + friendly music fans in a field - that's an O2-sized audience, and some of the names in the fantasy list have played there in the last few years. Just a thought...

As I've reached the point where I need something special to get me to Cropredy, like Alice, then the Waterboys tick all the right boxes.
It would also be nice to see Indigo Girls Cheap Trick Duotone Skerryvore

My first Cropredy was in 1990. We went to the following 5, then 2007, 08, 09, 11 and last week-end. From those years the bands I would most like to see again for 2014 are; Thursday, Clarion, Danny Champion of the World, The Gathering, HaySeed Dixie, Bootleg Beatles Friday, Strawbs, Colvin Quarmby, The Fureys, Dreadzone, Feast of Fiddles, Seth Lakeman, Buzzcocks, Levellers Saturday, Digence, John Tams, Lark Rise, The Dunwells, The Coral, Edward 11, Show of Hands, Fairport.
