Just when I thought I had everything Fairporty on CD,I came across this on Amazon.I knew of the DVD,but not this.
It arrived today,but to my disapointment,there is a silent gap between the tracks on the second disc.Is this a known fault?
One of the Amazon reviews mentioned that Meet On The Ledge was missing from his copy,(so Meet On The Ledge was not on On The Ledge? This is not on!),the other review mentioned no defects.
Anybody have a copy with no faults?

I picked that up when it was first released and called Journeyman's Grace (at least over here it was, but pretty sure that was US and Britain). All that you mention I did not experience. Ledge was included , and no gaps between songs.

Journeyman's Grace might be a different album to this.
Both were DVD releases later put out on CD.JG (if it's the one I think it is) was filmed/recorded at the Marlowe Theatre in 2003,this one was from the previous tour at The Anvil in Basingstoke.
If yours has Rosie and Journeyman on it,it's not this one.But it might be....some of these reissue/other label things get confusing.

Ah, then I guess I hadn't realized there was another one as well myself. You must be right because Journeyman and Rosie are on it. Is the Marlowe in Canterbury, because Simon says thank you Canterbury at one point. |

Yeah,Canterbury was the locale for that one.(I thought I'd typed that out,but I see I went straight for the year.It's easy to forget where you are in your sentence when you're a one finger typist - it's usually fifteen minutes or so since you started.)
JG is,though,another album I don't have yet,so I needn't worry about that one being messed up,at least,so thanks for that.
I guess it's Audacity time for me now,just like it was for you recently!

It's not that Meet on the Ledge is missing from any copies -- it's that the packaging identifies track 10 on disc 2 as Meet on the Ledge when that track is in fact the outro from Matty Groves followed by a fine Dirty Linen.

Odd and odderer.My copy has Meet as track 10,but no Dirty Linen....Matty's outro cuts off after a bit of Ric's fiddle.
They must have had a trainee doing this,learning on the job.
Looks like track nine should have been Matty/Linen and track ten MOTL,but then Matty/Linen got separated and someone got confused.
It's looking like there may be three pressings of this,only messed up differently,
1.Mine - with gaps and no Dirty Linen.
2.The Amazon guy's one with 'no MOTL.'
3.A complete one,with eleven tracks,but still the original artwork?
If version three never came out,anybody want to trade a copy of Dirty Linen for a copy of MOTL?.

If it. Helps I downloaded this from amazon as an mp3 with all the tracks both. Dirty Linen and MOTL. One of. The best live albums. IMHO.

I'd rather have the physical thing,to fill the gap in the Fairport section of my CD rack,but I've got the case,so at least it'll look like the proper item.
It's not been my week,really.I bought the latest issue of Vintage Rock a couple of days ago,and the third page of an article on the Big Bopper has been omitted,and has a repeat of much of the text of the first page instead!
