I would love Merry Hell to be on the bill, I have been enjoying their latest album over the summer. It has always amazed me that we haven't seen the Unthanks perform at the festival yet, would have thought they were just the ticket. I would also love to see those wonderful mostache-powered tubadors Biscuit Head and the Biscuit Badgers http://www.biscuithead.co.uk/ . Wonderful stuff |

Just thought I'd chime in re. Spinal Tap. My wife and I saw McKean, Shearer, and Guest in concert 3 or 4 years ago. They were not in character, but performed a LOT of Spinal Tap and Folksmen material. Gotta tell ya, gang, that was one of the most entertaining shows ever, and I mean no kidding. If you get a chance to see them, grab it.

I normally find that I have a "take it or leave it" attitude to traditional folk bands, finding one sounds much like another, but I was hugely impressed with the Welsh band "Allan Yn Y Fan" who played at Butlins this weekend. Really rousing tunes and sublime vocal harmonies.
I'm certain they would go down well at Cropredy. (Mr Nicol was present for the performance, so he will certainly know just how impressive they were.)

Also massively impressed with them . I mentioned them to Mr Pegg as well . Two pronged attack , lets hope it brings reward. Audient  is there really a singular of audience or did they make that up. Trev |

We saw them support Spiers & Boden in Newport a few years back - they were fabulous, excellent musicians and real good-time dance band. They would go down a storm in Cropredy  |

And another thought - Ralph McTell is a big friend of the band, and is often wandering around at Croppers, but when did he last play a set of his own?

Don't think Capercaillie have ever played and Ralph last did a full set of his own in 2009 for the Saturday evening pre-FC slot, so he's definitely due another one. |

Runrig have been celebrating their 40th Anniversary this year however, which included Donnie Munro and Peter Wishart joining them on stage. Would love to see them at Cropredy any year however, along with Capercaillie |
