I have always wanted a Wilco or Son Volt appearance at Cropredy, maybe Wilco could bring RT along as he jammed on Sloth with them last year.

Yes, you're right, Marillion were scheduled to finish at nine, E.L.P to start at eight forty-five, (I have the laminate 'programme' thing in front of me),so fifteen minutes, give or take time to walk from one end to the other.I went for the E.L.P option, as it was my one and only chance to see them.

I left my spot up front when they started Afraid of Sunlight; I watched the rest of that performance by the soundboard then I took off for ELP. The thing I really liked about that first High Voltage; as well as my first Cropredy in 2012; was that I was able to see many bands/artists that I wouldn't normally get to see over here in the US(Magnum & Gary Moore were two that I was really grateful to finally see).

A post on Facebook today made it seem like Thursdays headliner hasn't been signed yet.

Wilko Johnson seems to still be adding shows....maybe Cropredy could get him.

Wilko would be the absolute business.

Sadly I don't think that is possible. He played an absolute blinder at Wickham last year, but I saw in last month guesting with Norman Watt-Roy. He still played well, but looked tiered. He has already exceeded the doctors predictions by nearly 6 months.

I watched both of those too, though I'd seen Gary once before and Magnum half a dozen or so times, they being local to me..in fact I used to look after keyboard player Mark Stanways kids sometimes.
Yes, that first High Voltage was a great line up, the only drawback being that some of the bands I hadn't seen before clashed with each other, but I've since made up for it by seeing those I missed seperately.
Great weather too, in fact it was great weather for all the open air events I attended that year apart from one...Cropredy.  Roll Eyes

I wish Magnum was local to me; though I am glad to have had the chance to see them at least once. The weather was fantastic that year. I have been to two festivals in England, 2010 High Voltage and 2012 Cropredy, both times the weather had been great.

It must have been duff but it's over now.

(duff in this case being dough, but that's enuff of that. The Bad Spelling Joke Police are about and they'll notice. They're very thoruff.)

So are we still going to be grumpy old so and sos or happy little bunnies?
Funnily enough, I came across an Alice Cooper fan site last night, and there was a bit of moaning on there about Alice playing Cropredy when it was announced, so it's not just us.

Anyway, roll on deodorant....er, Wednesday.
