I have just noticed this in the Radio Times, for the insomniacs amongst us:

Sunday morning @ 3am

"Bob Harris

With a live set by folk-rock giants Fairport Convention, who discuss their 2015 album Myths & Heroes."

Listen again! I find I listen to very few progs as they're broadcast but listen to a bunch of folk progs from around the country on line, on catch up during the week.

Yeah, that Bod Dylan knows what's going down.

Bob Dylan, on the other hand, needs a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.   Grin

Does everyone know the fantastic story about Bob Dylan calling round to Dave Stewart's house (or so he thought)?

Bod Dylan Embarrassed

The only excuse I have is that is was written about 7 in the morning when I was waiting for my wife to get ready so that we could take a two hour train journey to the east of our country to go cycling there.

Finally getting around to checking Ashley's site out. First I think it looks great, I love the overall look and feel of it but in the biography I had a question about something and was wondering if anyone perhaps knew-

"It is 1989 and the Albions are delivered to a South Atlantic mountaintop by a Chinook." Knowing that Ashley has been a reluctant flyer, where did they go? Falklands?

Had to look this up : according to Always Chasing Rainbows, the Brian Hinton & Geoff Wall biography, The Albion Band (at the time Ashley Hutchings, Phil Beer, Simon Care, John Shepherd and Trevor Foster) did a short tour of The Falklands and the Ascension Islands, however this took place in July 1990, not 1989. There's even a picture of the guys in the Chinook en route to a gig !

According to the biography's tour dates, Ashley was nowhere near the South Atlantic in 1989 - a proof reading error on the website perhaps ?

Many items of interest to me in the new issue of Mojo that has just plopped through my letter box including, so the front cover trails, Fairport Convention.

You will have to turn to the back page to find the article, an account of how Iain Matthews came to join and then leave tha band, in his own words.
