Love that song Coincidentally I was listening to Ralph McTell : Blue Skies, Black Heroes just the other day and it includes 'Louis Collins'. |

Apparently when he first met Bernard Edwards and was forming the band that would become Chic in the early 70s, his idea/ambition was that the band should be a blend of Fairport Convention, Country Joe & The Fish and the Grateful Dead. Bernard was less than enamoured of this idea and the rest is history but who would have pegged Nile as a Fairport fan? Chic for Cropredy!

That’s hardly their fault. I wasn't suggesting it was, just that maybe they're not really that big so probably not that expensive. To me (to you!), too big and expensive for Cropredy is James Taylor, CSN, The Stones! And, as I always do when someone on TAW mentions a band I've not heard of, I will go and search them out and see what they're like |

Quite, my list was more of a "this is the kind of band" than a "I really want this band" - apart from the Pretenders and Jamie Cullum who would be brilliant IMHO, though many will disagree and already have.  |
