For no apparent reason I've been listening to Angel Delight a lot recently.  I've come to the conclusion is sounds more Fairporty than anything else they ever did.  No idea what on earth I mean by this but it makes some small kind of sense to me  Smiley

It's one of my favourites - sounds unforced, just four guys drinking ale and playing the folk/rock that came naturally to them without any external considerations.

Yes, I also really enjoy it. Strange sequencing of tracks on the album (to me, at least). I think the first two songs are a little bit dull ... so to me the LP works better if you reverse the two sides so that you start with the title track and finish with the near-classic Journeyman's Grace.

I wonder whether and how the new quarantine regulations for travellers from France will affect Peggy's ability to play Wickham and the Brasenose?

NOW SOLD

It turns out that our daughter cannot now accompany us to the Brasenose on August 5th
to see Fairport.

So, first come first served, I'm asking what I paid: £32.54.

I can email you the ticket upon receipt of payment.

PM me if you want it.

So, we now have FC headlining Wickham and The Ragged Bear festival in Nuneaton as well as the Brasenose gig. Any other opportunities to see the chaps over the Summer?

I was wondering about The Brasenose gig. Does anyone know if there are going to be any arrangements for car parking. Probably not a good idea to upset the locals by gumming up the village. And any thoughts about chairs .... and flags? :-)

The Village Hall car park has been mooted.

No flags, please. It's a beer garden with a stage and 250 punters - already crowded.

The school is going to be used for the car parking.

Folding chair for me as well.

I reckon TAW attendees are: Adam, Andy and Wendy, DavidMJS, Jenny and Gareth, me.  Anyone else?

I'm going to take a lateral flow test on Thursday morning - just being careful...

Good shout on the lateral flow test; I’ll be doing the same. Looking forward to it (gig, not the test!)
