You can see that they have no clue, they have omitted singer Kathryn Roberts.

Seriously though, to work in the entertainment/music promotions industry and not be aware of that fact AND that the blurb wasn't checked out by an associate. Its beyond belief really.

You'd think from the advertising that Sally Barker is only known for singing recently with Tom Jones. Surely she has a much greater musical history than that?

Ahh, but Sally's trip through The Voice would have played to many times the audience for her folk life....so reninding all those that have seen her on TV is better audience-wise

I saw Poozies (mark 1) performing live an open air concert in Italy - quite long time ago  Smiley
It was very good. The audience was about thirty people, but all very happy at the end.

all the best

I've been watching her in venues round Leicester and in bigger venues with Poozies for over 20 years.
I wonder what people's reaction to someone who has been on the Voice will be.
Will the stereotypical Voice audience be attracted to a Fotheringay gig?
Will being on the voice turn off folkies?
I am a sort of folkie who watches the Voice.
I am lucky in that Red Shoes are doing 2 gigs with Fotheringay this yr so I hope to watch them up close.
Sally has a great voice, is a lovely person and has had real sadness in her life. She deserves success.

In her solo shows, Sally adds in numbers sung on The Voice - for which You can't really blame her.

I do hope that Fotheringay don't try & cover one of those just to satisfy any new audience. I don't think they will, and also hope at least a few of any Voice audience find they like Sandy's material.

I hear they are recording a new album. I wonder what might go on it

Sally played with Vicki Genfan in Leicester last weekend. I wasn't there but the feedback is the "Voice" audience has almost gone and was back to genuine live music fans and the audience she used to get. Also, was an excellent night according to those who were there.

Hi Chris, I think you'll find Kate Rusby was in Poozies mark 2. I saw the original line up, and then subsequently at Windsor Old Fire Station when Kate was new to the band. Haven't a clue of dates though!!

At last, I've managed to see Fotheringay for the FIRST time - I loved every moment of it - thank you so much to the Band. I hope no-one minds but I did video one number 'The Way I Feel', it's here if anyone is interested (a bit amateurish, apologies, but hope it captures something worthwhile).https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAV90QZD3hk&feature=share

Hi Chris, have a great evening! If I still lived in the Thames Valley I'd come too, sadly a bit too far from South Somerset.
