Colin Irwin seems to have a problem with any repackaging of Sandy's work. I pre-ordered through Amazon UK, and have downloaded the autorip version. On first listening I like it, but it is not earth shaking. The CDs are still at work. Perhaps I should have waited until it was released and just bought the MP3 at £18.99. Though I would miss out on the as yet unseen DVD. Edit: below

One thing I've noticed - if Knights Of The Road and The Plainsman were both originally Fairportised in order to be included on Rosie, then why don't we have a Fotheringay version of The Plainsman on this box? I'd have liked that.

Mine arrived this morning, I'm quite relieved to find the booklet doesn't come on high German and gothic script, and i would have liked the fairported songs as well. Thanks to Jools for the pointer to amazon de, 13 dabs are not to be scoffed at. |
