.....is a double CD, with one disc of new material by current lineup and a second disc of new material by a combination of old and current members. I think it would be a great way of bringing together the past and present to celebrate 50 years, and show that the band has always been more than the sum of its (impressive) parts. This would appeal to me much more than repackaged old songs, and wouldn't be simply an exercise in nostalgia. I suppose I can dream....

What do you fine folk think?

I'd be up for that.  Great idea!

Can't see Swarb playing on it though, with the way things are.   Sad

I'd like the old/new combo to tour & then release a double - a CD of new material plus a live CD off the tour playing the old stuff please

I like the idea of doing something like this. As much as I'd like it, I can't actually see a tour being a goer, but certainly a massive yes to this at Cropredy at least.

I'd like to see the "Hand Of Kindness"/"Tear Stained Letter" band again that played at Cropredy on Friday, 10th. August 2012 - RT,  DM, Pete Zorn, SN, Peggy & with contributions from Kamila T..  Bloody brilliant. I think an album from THAT band would surpass many recent efforts by all concerned.

In fact I'm listening to them right now.
